Description

A form-in-place gasket tape made of soft and flexible non-sintered expanded 100% PTFE, which adapts to all surfaces, even those that are rough. It ensures a perfect long-lasting seal on pump and compressor flanges, industrial and chemical equipment, steam ducts and pipes, and can be used with hydrocarbons, aggressive fluids in general and oxygen. It has a selfadhesive surface which facilitates assembly and is available in many different dimensions. It complies with FDA and WRC regulations.

Tecnical description

• Applications: Glass-ceramic tanks and those made of synthetic resin used in the chemical and food industries, steam ducts and pipes, and with hydrocarbons, aggressive fluids in general and oxygen.
• Method of use: Degrease, clean and dry the surfaces to be sealed and position the gasket tape. Conclude the operation by overlapping the ends or joining them with an oblique cut. Proceed to tighten the bolts gradually in a crisscross sequence. If necessary adjust the bolts further once the operating temperature has been reached. In the presence of fragile surfaces or reduced tightening forces, a joint made by cutting the tape in an oblique direction is preferable.
